Meet one of Utah Valley Magazine's 2018 Fab 40


Age: 58

The Journey When Michelle’s son was born with Prader-Willi Syndrome, he changed her focus. Eighteen years ago, Michelle started H.I.V.E.S, a year-round educational and physical activities program for disabled adults. She is also the founder of Just For Kids of Utah County and The Curtis Center Project.

Mile Markers “The birth of my son Curtis, the creation of Just For Kids of Utah County, adding the adaptive athletic programs, watching H.I.V.E.S. grow, being a special educator and becoming a grandmother have been the most significant milestones in my life.”

No Road Blocks “Watching my dreams come true to help individuals who cannot help themselves.  Also, serving those who are underserved and have nowhere to turn.”

Vacation Destination “Italy. Michelangelo worked hard to make his dreams come true and bring life to a piece of stone.”
