2018 Fab 40: Reese Oliveira

Meet one of Utah Valley Magazine's 2018 Fab 40

Age: 13
City: Lehi

The Journey Reese uploaded her first music video, “Glorious,” to YouTube when she was 9. It was a simple recording filmed on an iPad and edited in iMovie. Since then, Reese has produced 18 videos across two YouTube channels and a Facebook page and is quickly approaching 10 million collective views. Reese has also performed in local theater productions including Les Miserables, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Annie. She is a ballet student at the Barlow Arts Conservatory and has performed in the Nutcracker. Reese’s signature sparkle can also be found in commercials, training videos and sitcoms. Her latest project is portraying Young Beth in the 2018 movie “Little Women,” produced by the same team that brought us “Once I Was A Beehive.”

Road Blocks “Rapidly-changing technology and artificial intelligence being the deciding factor of which content is served to the end user can be frustrating. It’s tricky trying to balance content creation with the science of the latest algorithm changes.”

Vacation Destination “Fukuoka, Japan. I participated in a small singing group tour under the direction of Masa Fukuda. It helped me realize music can transcend language barriers and foster lifelong friendships and connections.”

Local Destination “The Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point.”

Must-Have “Lip gloss! You never know when you will need it!”
