There’s something special about hugging your dad at midcourt after winning the state basketball championship. Thanks to a nearby photographer, Hailey Johnson has a photo of that memorable high school moment.

Mini-resume Student body president, captain of the state champion basketball team, LDS Young Womanhood Recognition, concert choir, and National Honors Society, 3.9 GPA.

Plans after high school Utah State for a year and then LDS mission.

Personal motto Fake it until you make it.

Advice for freshmen Getting involved is the best way to make friends. Get outside of yourself. You might fail, but so what? Failure isn’t a bad thing.

Guilty pleasure Harry Potter — as much as I can.

Challenge to overcome I’ve struggled with self-doubt and thinking I’m not good enough. I’m not completely over it, but as I’ve been put in different situations, I’ve had to work through it.

Most common thing parents say to you When will you be home?

Best high school memory Winning state in basketball. That was a special moment. Then, the boys won state. It was crazy. We got to ride in the fire trucks.

Stress management Go for a drive and think. Sometimes I cry and talk to my parents.

How will you change the world? One person at a time. It’s like the old saying, “To the world, you may be just one person, but to one person, you may be the world.”
