Tiana Tolman is that special person who can succeed on the field (soccer team captain) and on the sidelines (cheer captain). She also excels in the classroom and has her eyes set on a marketing leadership career. #goals

Mini-resume Soccer captain (1st team all region), cheer captain, track, Polynesian Club member, Polynesian dancer, National Honors Society member, 3.99 GPA.

Plans after high school College (BYU or Pepperdine), intern at Google, pursue marketing leadership career.

Advice for freshmen Get involved. Expand your circle of interactions at school.

Guilty pleasure Eating Spam musubi while watching “Toddlers & Tiaras.”

No. 1 thing learned in high school The high school experience goes by so quickly. Cherish the time you have to expand your circle of friends, learn new things and challenge yourself.

Best high school memory Competing alongside my teammates to claim Timpview’s first-ever girls state soccer championship.

Others describe you Like a bag of caramel popcorn: sweet with a little salty, a flavor for everyone, adventurous and best when shared with others.

Stress management Jiu-jitsu, scriptures, Snoop Dogg — in that order.

How will you change the world? Being of Hawaiian and Maori ancestry, I have noticed a lack of Pacific Islanders engaging in STEM fields. I will leverage my education, culture and community of leaders to forge a path, pipelining the next generation of examples and leaders in STEM.
