National Pancake Day is

It’s finally May and the warm weather is here to stay (maybe)! Celebrate the summer’s personal victory against the cold winter months with these six weekend events in Utah Valley.

Firefighters Pancake Breakfast 

Nothing is better than chowing down a delicious pancake breakfast for a good cause. All of the proceeds from the Firefighters Pancake Breakfast will go to support the North Fork Fire Department volunteers who respond to more  than 200 calls each year.

Latino Cultural Celebration 

Experience the unique culture of Latino folk music and dance during an evening of great free music, authentic food and booths the night before Cinco De Mayo.

“Steel Magnolias”

“Steel Magnolias” is a treat for the whole family. Witness the gossip that runs as thick as the shampoo in Turvy’s small southern beauty parlor where six women share the bittersweet moments of life with sass and strength.

Afternoon Tea

Craving a spot of tea? Enjoy a tasty afternoon of drinking tea and eating assorted tea sandwiches and desserts at Taste.

Pleasant Grove Players 

“You Can’t Take It With You” is an old-time movie with a batty reflection of the madness of sanity in a mad world. Witness the movie that remains as insightful and delightful as when it first graced the stage in the 1930s at your local library.

Johnston’s Army Adventure Camp 

Calling all Boy Scouts! Johnston’s Army Adventure Camp is designed to give Boy Scouts a unique, hands-on adventure. Scouts will “travel back in time” to 1858–1861 and learn what it was like to be a solider.

When: May 4 – 5 at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Camp Floyd/Stagecoach Inn State Park and Museum
