Weekend best bets: 5 Utah Valley Mother’s Day weekend events


This Mother’s Day weekend is the perfect chance for you to treat the women in your life to a little entertainment. Here are five Utah Valley events this weekend:

Heart and Sole 5K

Heart and Sole, you’ll fall in love with heart health. Formerly known as the Race for Red, the Heart & Sole race is Utah Valley Hospital’s new venture to teach Utah Valley residents about heart health and provide a fun, family-friendly event. Besides the 5K, there is an obstacle course — which will be run by BYU student-athletes — as well as a health fair.

When: May 12 at 8 a.m.

Beehive Bazaar 

With over 125 local artists and crafters, the variety of unique local products are endless at the Beehive Bazaar craft boutique. You’ll find handmade jewelry, paintings, bags, glass, clothing, paper goods as well as baked goods.

When: Friday at 10 a.m.–10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–8 p.m.

Women of Steel Triathlon and 5k 

Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind sprint pool triathlon that celebrates strong women with a great race, food, boutique vendors and prizes!

Heart 2 Heart – Mother, Daughter Retreat

Enjoy meditation, yoga, personalized perfuming with organic essences and a leather journal making class to help strengthen the the mother and daughter bond.
