5 places to get waffles in Utah County


It’s National Waffle Day — and some of these Utah County restaurants are making waffles in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening.

Whether you like waffles made traditionally with syrup on top or waffles with something extra in the middle, here are five Utah County restaurants that serve waffles.

Waffle Love

With waffle in the name, its clear that Waffle Love has mastered the waffle. To celebrate the holiday, Waffle Love is handing out “free plain liege waffle” cards to every customer who purchases a signature waffle while supplies last. (See details here.) Bruges Waffles & Frites

Get it topped with fruit or stuff it like a sandwich, either way Bruges Waffles & Frites has every meal covered with waffle. For National Waffle Day, the restaurant is offering a free plain waffle when customers purchase any signature waffle, which is any waffle with a minimum of two toppings. (See details here.) Station 22

Get a taste of the south for National Waffle Day. Station 22 in downtown Provo serves up chicken and waffles, and, according to its menu, that means “a sugar waffle topped with candied bacon, walnut butter and fried sage. Served with buttermilk syrup.” Station 22 is located at 22 West Center Street in Provo and is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday. Learn more at station22cafe.com.

Black Bear Diner

One of the newer waffle makers to Utah County, Black Bear Diner keeps it traditional with its waffles. If you love your waffles smothered in syrup, this is the place. There are two Utah County locations: one in American Fork and one in Orem. Learn more at blackbeardiner.com.

Despite its new addition of burgers, iHop knows breakfast. Take a break from the pancakes with iHops Belgian waffles or chicken and waffles. iHop has multiple Utah County locations including American Fork, Orem and Springville. And some stores are open 24 hours. Learn more at restaurants.ihop.com.
