Utah-Tube: UVU dance team escapes the shadows in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ video

Utah Valley University’s dance team escaped the shadows and brightened the castle with their interpretation of the “tale as old as time.”

Using the musical score from the official trailer for Disney’s 2017 live-action “Beauty and the Beast,” the 18-member dance company twisted and turned in a beautiful mesh of light and darkness.

To help the dance team step into a fairy tale world, the video was filmed at Utah County’s own fairy tale castle — Wadley Farms in Lindon. Wadley Farms is a popular location for YouTubers, especially when filming Disney-inspired videos. BYU Vocal Point also filmed a “Beauty and the Beast” music video at the wedding venue with Lexi Walker in 2017, and Orem’s Scott and Ryceejo filmed a “Frozen” and “Tangled” mashup video at the location earlier in 2018.

UVU’s dance team is coached by Bri Sorenson and the routine was choreographer by Katie Miller. The video was directed by Will McKinnon.
