Sheepdog Championship and Festival
Doggone it these sheepdogs are more than cute — they’re talented. Whether you watch the sheepdog competition or witness the Splash Dogs leap from the high-dive, these dogs will color you impressed. Besides the dog-run events, the festival includes international foods,Wild Wonders Wild and Exotic Animal Show, bird show and more.

Say bijou to local shopping this weekend. With over 60 local vendors and food trucks, the Bijou Market will have some new handmade item that will tickle your fancy. Plus, there will also be children’s artisan booths along “Kid Row” and other family-friendly activities.

Puppy Paddle Pool Party
As the dog days of summer come to a close, Provo Recreation Center and Pool opens its doors to our puppy pals before closing its gates permanently to the outdoor pool for the winter. Although humans can’t swim in the pool with the dogs, it will be a blast watching man’s best friend take a dip in the pool. 10–11:15 a.m. – Small dogs less than 30lbs.
11:30 am – 12:45 p.m. – Mixed dogs, no size limitations
1-2:15 p.m. – Big dogs more than 30 lbs.

Payson Onion Days
Closing out the summer of city festivals, Payson is honoring its city with the 89th Golden Onions Days. Come to the carnival, compete in the Golden Onion and Dutch Oven Cook-offs, attend the firework show and more.

Where: Payson, Utah
Megan Hilty with the Utah Valley Symphony
How can she keep from singing? Broadway and TV star Megan Hilty has made the trek to join her voice with Utah County’s own musical sensation, the Utah Valley Symphony. Best known for her role as Glinda in “Wicked” on Broadway and NBC’s musical drama “Smash,” Hilty’s vocals will carry the crowd through a pleasant night.
