The 188th Semiannual General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints begins on Saturday, Oct. 6.
During the two-day worldwide conference, which ends on Oct. 7 after five two-hour sessions, Church leaders will share messages over the pulpit. This conference includes the General Women’s Session on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m. MDT.
Members of the Church are encouraged to study the general conference talks during the six months between the two sessions. In his closing remarks during the April 2017 general conference, President Russell M. Nelson said:
“I exhort you to study the messages of this conference frequently—even repeatedly—during the next six months. Conscientiously look for ways to incorporate these messages in your family home evenings, your gospel teaching, your conversations with family and friends, and even your discussions with those not of our faith. Many good people will respond to the truths taught in this conference when offered in love. And your desire to obey will be enhanced as you remember and reflect upon what you have felt these past two days.”
