A young pianist had “a million dreams” that became a reality — and not just in this music video. The Piano Guys pianist, Jon Schmidt, shared his dreams of becoming a professional pianist in a new music video.
Covering “A Million Dreams” from “The Greatest Showman,” a young Schmidt, played by 14-year-old pianist Milo Allman, sweeps the floors at Tuacahn Outdoor Theater in St. George, Utah. He then takes a break to play the piano and dream of what it would feel like to perform on the Tuacahn’s stage.
The end of the music video shows a young Steven Sharp Nelson, played by James Tilby, bumping into his future Piano Guys partner Schmidt. In the caption of the video, the Piano Guys said Nelson and Schmidt first performed together on Tuacahn Ampitheatre many years ago.
This isn’t the first “The Greatest Showman” song the Piano Guys have covered. In February, cellist Steven Sharp Nelson played a cover of “Rewrite the Stars.” His wife, Julie, joined him on the violin and Schmidt accompanied the couple on the piano. Watch the “Rewrite the Stars” music video here.
