For a quarter of a century, Spanish Fork City has perfected what driving through a winter wonderland looks like. Every year on Thanksgiving night Spanish Fork lights up its community with its annual Festival of Lights.

While the festival has been lighting up Spanish Fork for the past 26 years at Christmastime, the display is always fresh because the team tries to add new fixtures each year as well as move the displays around.

The colorful parade of lights lasts about 3/4 of a mile through Canyon View Park. There are signs at the end of the route to indicate whether cars are able to drive through multiple times on any particular night. The dates where multiple drive throughs are not permitted are also listed on the city website. In 2018, no second drive through the displays will be allowed from Friday, December 7 through Tuesday, December 25. You may “go around again” as many times as you wish before Dec. 7 or after Dec. 25.

And the display has more than just your traditional holiday favorites, such as the poinsettia. They have a castle, dinosaurs, wildlife from the mountains, cowboys and more displays to ignite the spirit of Christmas in guests.

Plus, to add to that Christmas spirit, attendees can turn their radio to 99.9 FM for holiday music as you drive through the lights. Not to mention that the Spanish Fork Festival of Lights has become a family tradition for many of Utah County’s residents.

Plan now to attend the Festival of Lights which runs through New Year’s Day. The Festival of Lights is open nightly from 6–10 p.m., at Canyon View Park, 3300 E. Powerhouse Rd.

This is a family-oriented drive-through display with animated holiday displays. The cost is $8 per car; $22 per commercial van or any vehicle towing a trailer; $30 per bus.

Gift Certificates are available at the Spanish Fork City Office (40 South Main) or at the Parks & Recreation Office (775 N. Main) for $8. A punch pass for five (5) admissions will also be available for $35.
