Blake’s career began in 2005 when he wrote in a blog under the pseudonym “Smooth Harold.” Since then, he has contributed to top companies as a journalist, including CNN, NBC, USA Today, Deseret News and Fox. Blake also advises Fortune 500 companies and in 2017 published his first book, “Log Off: How to Stay Connected After Disconnecting,” which explores finding balance in a digitally-run world, available on Audible, Apple Books, and Amazon. He practices what he preaches in his self-help book by enjoying life and its experiences. When he’s not writing, Blake can be found giving free workshops, cooking, traveling and spending time with his wife and five children.
Favorite Superhero “Batman. He doesn’t technically have superpowers, but that didn’t stop him from saving the world.”
Heroic “My dad. He’s done great work behind the scenes without much fanfare, attention, or celebrity because he knows that it’s all about results rather than vanity.”
Save the Day “I’ve been approached by many readers who told me how ‘Log Off’ changed their lives for the better. That brings me so much joy because the book was nearly 10 years of research, soul searching, trial and error. It’s wonderful to be able to share that with the world and be valued for making a difference, even if it’s just something as small as helping someone overcome FOMO.”
Sidekick “My wife. That’s the beautiful thing about marriage. If you’re one of the lucky ones to find a lover, advisor and best friend all in one, life is going to be awesome for the both of you.”
