Fueled by a love of basketball, Tanner founded “Lace ‘Em Up,” a skill enhancement program for basketball players K-12 in Utah. Tanner has trained athletes in the U.S., France, Spain, China and Japan. He has also bounced the ball with NBA pros, overseas pros, and college players, including Victor Oladipo, Justin Hamilton and Joel Bolomboy. His dedication to coaching earned him the title of two-time Best of State winner for Training and Camps in Utah. As a certified member of the elite staff for I’m Possible, Tanner helped run the 2018-19 Indiana Pacers mini camp, becoming the first training staff to work with an entire NBA team outside of the team’s organization. When he’s not on the court, Tanner can be found spending time with his wife, Amanda, and four superhero-loving sons.

Favorite Superhero “From DC, it is Batman because in the original movie, Michael Keaton wore Air Jordan VIs. From the Marvel Universe it is the new Spider-Man, Miles Morales, because he wears the Air Jordan 1s. I’m kind of a sneakerhead.”

Super Strength “Definitely my ability to connect with all types of people. I love talking to anyone and finding out about them, who they are, where they come from, what motivates them and what their culture is like. I love being able to instantly connect with all types of people.”

Kryptonite “Balancing work and home life. I always try to stay present during work and at home. One of my goals is always to be awesome at work and then to be Super Dad when I get home.”

Save the Day “Sometimes I manage to bring my wife chocolate, or do the dishes and fold laundry, which seems to save the day!”

Secret Identity “I love the Harry Potter books and movies.”
