Advice for freshmen I feel like everyone says this, but it’s true — go to activities. Sporting events, musicals, club activities — get involved and high school will be amazing.
High school happiness Invest in drama repellent. If you get bitten by drama, seek help immediately. It can cause severe sadness, stress and the decomposition of important relationships.
Challenges In September, my family’s house was destroyed by fire. That was pretty scary, but our friends, neighbors and complete strangers lifted us.
Best high school memory The 2019 Battle for the Paddle — Orem’s swim meet against Mountain View. It was fun to cheer for my teammates and for my friends on the other team. I loved the unity our schools have. It was also great when we won!
Leah, how will you change the world? By doing the little things — remembering someone’s name, taking cookies to a neighbor. These things seem small, but they make a big difference.
