Zachary Sabey’s personal motto is that hard work is the key to success. Well, he’s started the ignition on his future through his efforts in a number of areas — from the soccer field to the classroom.

Mini-resume AP scholar with distinction, senior class vice president, soccer team, Sterling Scholar finalist, 34 ACT, 4.0 GPA, Key Club, National Honor Society, Math Club.

Advice for future self Remember the person I am today and the excitement I have for the future right now as I’m starting my life.

Plans after high school Church mission, BYU to study actuarial science. I chose that because I love statistics. I like to think of it as predicting the future based off of the past.

Guilty pleasure Almonds. Doesn’t matter what kind. My family always buys them and I can never stop eating them.

Favorite high school memory Summer days playing pick-up football or basketball in my friend’s backyard.

Others describe you Intelligent, kind and a leader. Someone they can look to when they don’t know what to do.

Stress management Prayer. Also, I concentrate on all of the positive things I have in my life. That helps me get out of my own head.

Zachary, how will you change the world? By having a positive effect on those around me and trying to be someone who people can genuinely feel enlightened by.
