CAREER ANTHEM “High Hopes” by Panic! At The Disco

LINER NOTES It’s hard not to be floored by Wayne Sleight. In the span of seven years, he, along with his business partner Chris Bennett, have taken 97th Floor from a party of two working in home offices to 80 team members with offices in Lehi and San Francisco. Today? 97th Floor generates $10 million-plus in yearly revenue and works with amazing brands from Adobe to Zagg and everything in between. What’s more, the Lehi company has won awards and employee loyalty for its flexible ROWE (Results-Only Work Environment) lifestyle. Sleight’s most recent project is co-founding a seed investment firm called 7Sixty Ventures. 7Sixty is already making a splash with investments in local companies including Homie and Neighbor.

FAVORITE LYRIC “Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds.” — “Redemption Song” by Bob Marley

CAREER HIGH NOTE “Each time a client or co-worker says that 97th Floor drastically helped them with their career or life.”

CAREER LOW NOTE “Getting rejected by In-n-Out in high school.”

MUSIC TO MY EARS “Be your own boss. That doesn’t necessarily mean not having an employer/manager — just to be in control of your career, time, finances, projects, skills, etc. Unfortunately, that often means having to be your own employer/manager.”

BEATING TO MY OWN DRUM “I don’t watch popular TV shows and hardly ever read the news.”

MY FORTE “Selling our vision and creating an environment to attract and retain top talent.”

DREAM RECORD “Have a company I helped build be around when my grandkids enter the workforce.”
