Mandee Grant can list the creation of three nonprofits and three businesses on her resume, but perhaps her most influential venture is Better Days 2020, a 501(c)(3) aimed to celebrate and educate about the strong history of women’s suffrage in Utah. Since co-founding Better Days 2020, Mandee feels the most pride over the First to Vote license plate and the “Utah HERitage” campaign. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment and the 150th anniversary of the first woman voting in the United States, which happened to be in Utah. “Utahns are proud of Seraph Young being the first woman to vote under an equal suffrage law in 1870,” she says. “It continues to be my favorite story to tell.” This mom of five is also the operations manager for Senator Mitt Romney.
Written in the Stars “My life mission is to find the world’s best fish tacos. Just kidding. It’s to be a good friend and to be an advocate for women and girls. If I know you, I will be your biggest cheerleader!”
Shoot for the Stars “I have applied (and have been accepted) to four different master’s programs. My goal this year is to choose and start one of them.”
Starry-Eyed “I love Dodger baseball! My dad would take us to games growing up, and I love continuing that tradition with my boys.”
A Star is Born “Difficult moments and trials have defined who I am and taught me my most valuable life lessons. I firmly believe there is a gift in every difficulty. Often that gift has been coming to know and love myself better.”
Lucky Star “I currently work for Senator Romney, and I feel fortunate to be part of an amazing team committed to serving the constituents of Utah.”
