40 Under 40: Richie Stevens

Richie Stevens is serving up leadership — with a side of numbers and an extra helping of heart. After earning his Masters of Accounting from the University of Utah, Stevens worked for three years at Deloitte. He then moved to Savory Restaurant Fund (formerly Four Foods Group), and helped this industry powerhouse build up their financial processes, procedures and technology infrastructure. Additionally, Stevens is a board member at South Valley Services, a non-profit providing shelter, advocacy, and prevention services to those impacted by domestic violence in Utah.

CHILDHOOD DREAM “An Air Force pilot — until I realized I was too tall to fly F-16s.”

DREAM MOMENT “Building the Savory Restaurant Fund and developing our investment strategy.”

ULTIMATE DREAM “To do meaningful work around mergers/acquisitions, and to have serious fun with my wife and kids.”

QUARANTINE OUTFIT “Normal work casual, unfortunately. But if I had worked from home … basketball shorts and a polo to keep it classy for the Zoom!”

QUARANTINE INSPIRATION “There was a lot of optimism in my company during the beginning of Covid. I took inspiration from the strength of the team and the lack of fear on how to react to the ever-changing restrictions from the state health department.”
