Brighton Kriser’s middle name should be “Entrepreneur.” As a high school student, Brighton rode the snow cone fad as the owner of Provo’s sweet treat hot spot “The Barn.” Now, Brighton has his sights set on “brightening” the world by providing jobs, starting with his friends in Ghana. In 2017, he started a company called Sourcehive, which provides jobs to Ghanaians who would otherwise not be employed. Brighton says, “I feel extremely blessed for the opportunity to work with the people of Ghana and do my part to create opportunities for them.” When Brighton isn’t doing international service, Utah Valley residents can find him running up and down Mount Timpanogos. Bright idea, bro!

Rickety Ride “Growing up with divorced parents is not unique but was difficult for me as a child. It helped me grow up fast and to appreciate great relationships.”

Merry-Go-Round Moment “My idea of a perfect day is at Lake Powell surrounded by my best friends. I could relive that scenario several times over.”

Top of the Ferris Wheel “This past summer, I completed a Half Ironman Triathlon with friends.”

Theme Park “Much of the joy I get out of life is providing a shock factor to others. So, I would have some sort of theme park where people are constantly shocked for one reason or another. I’m sure it would be a huge hit.”

Sweet Suggestions “Do more than is expected of you.”

Gem of the Utah Valley Jamboree “I love that there are an unlimited number of outdoor activities where we live. I love that I can go boating in Deer Creek, skiing at Sundance, road biking down the Alpine Loop, run up and down Timp, etc.”

Firework Finish “In five years, I see myself running and building businesses that help the world with my future wife, whoever she might be.”
