Kortni Niccoli dove right in to entrepreneurship. She started sewing swimwear her senior year of high school, and then floated her hobby into a full-fledged business after graduating from FIDM in the spring of 2014. Since then, her Kortni Jeane brand is making a splash all day, every day with 270k followers on Instagram, swims for women, men and minis, and powerful campaigns to celebrate all body types, all the time.
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT To see women not only get out of their comfort zone, but do it confidently — all because they took a chance to try on Kortni Jeane — and once they did, they LIKED what they saw staring back at them in the mirror. This is far beyond anything I hoped and imagined for KJ. LEADERSHIP STYLE Very hands on. I am still involved in every aspect of running the business and could do each job if needs be — although probably not as well as my amazing team members! WOULDA-COULDA-SHOULDA No regrets, although it definitely hasn’t gone smoothly and has been far from easy. The mistakes and hardships have led me to where Kortni Jeane is today and they continue to drive me forward. WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH I could never do it without a great support team behind me.
