My Wonder Woman Journal | Founder
Provo | AGE 33
McKenna Rose Brown is busy writing her next chapter. A mother of four and winner of Mrs. Utah America in 2014, Brown has been raising her family, traveling, and doing humanitarian work. But after the birth of her fourth child, everything changed. She suffered from extreme postpartum anxiety, depression, OCD, and rage. She then drove herself to the behavioral hospital, where she began a journey of healing and connection. Soon after, My Wonder Woman Journal was born. Brown now offers four different journals, hosts retreats for women and an academy for girls, and she speaks to groups several times a month about her journey. Her hope? To show every woman and girl the wonder inside of them.
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT THIS recognition has been my proudest career accomplishment. I never would have imagined that a divine prompt to share my mental health story would lead me to start a journal company that now has four journals, an academy for girls, and retreats for women. LEADERSHIP STYLE I have an empowerment leadership style. When I speak to groups I want to infuse them with my love, enthusiasm and compassion. WOULDA-COULDA-SHOULDA There isn’t anything I would change in my career and life. Everything happens for a reason and plays out the way it is supposed to. Mistakes help us learn. WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH No matter how I am feeling I push myself to “show up” and do my best. MAIN MOTIVATION I am the most passionate and motivated when I help others find hope. Everyone must know that they can LIVE life and don’t have to just endure it. Knowing what I know now, I wish I hadn’t suffered for as long as I did. ULTIMATE CAREER DREAM To reach my full potential. I want to be able to influence millions of people and ensure everyone has hope for a better future.
